Online - Zoom

Join the virtual workshop/demo hosted by UEA next Friday 24 June to learn more about the Ryze app, which is an innovative mobile learning app and platform that easily enables instructors and students to create inspiring content via its micro-lesson design

The UEA team will host an online demo of the app via zoom on Friday, June 24th at 15:00 CET.

  • Zoom Meeting ID: 859 781 4187

Any Aurora university member is welcome to join the session.

The Ryze app can allow instructors to share learning content with students via their mobile phones, and is packed with innovations such as gamified learning, sending mobile notifications directly to students, and detailed analytics about user engagement. It has been developed by a UEA start-up. UEA would like to support instructors within Aurora universities - or even better - instructors collaborating across Aurora universities to experiment and pilot collaborative learning using the app.

Ryze sits alongside any existing online learning university system, and can be set up to be easily and securely accessed by any student or staff member who has an official Aurora university address. The UEA team has experience of training academics on how to use the app, and of rolling out mobile-first learning across several different universities, including outside the UK. The app can be used to share learning on any topic; the team will share examples of micro-lesson journeys in areas of interest to Aurora members such as student mental health, sustainability / net zero, and community development. The Ryze team would like to find volunteers from across Aurora who see that they could use the app to support their own interactions with students. UEA is keen to support such experimentation across the Aurora Alliance, including using the technology, pushing its development, and training staff in other institutions.
